Where Does My Donation Go?
Locally, seventy-six cents of every dollar spent by the American Red Cross of Ventura County is invested in humanitarian services and programs. In fiscal year 2008, the Red Cross provided the following services to Ventura County communities:
- Provided financial assistance to 59 local families following a disaster
- Taught over 24,000 people how to perform a lifesaving skill such as First Aid and CPR.
- Deployed dozens of volunteers to provide relief in response to flooding, tornadoes, fires and other disasters throughout country.
In addition, the American Red Cross of Ventura County also offers the community the chance to learn First Aid, CPR and other health and safety skills that will help keep you safe. We provide emergency communications for military families and offer assistance to those trying to locate family members during local and international disasters.
Your generous contributions help victims of disaster incidents, across Ventura County communities, each year by providing:
