Disaster Client Assistance
Responding to disasters and meeting the needs of those impacted by events such as fires, flood, and earthquakes is the first priority at the American Red Cross.
If you are a victim of a disaster, we will work with you to help determine your needs and plan your recovery, based on the effects of the disaster on you and your family, your specific damages, your personal resources and resources in the community.
The Red Cross may provide:
• A safe place to stay
• Clothing
• Meals
• Essential medications or the means to obtain them
• Crisis counseling
• Other items you can use immediately in your recovery
