Volunteer Recognition ~ 2010 ~

What a great occasion … The Volunteer Recognition Ceremony held in June of this year was a special and heart-warming event.  We held this year’s event at the Camarillo Community Center and DJ’s Catering, again, presented amazing banquet tables of food.  The evening began with the spinning of a Disco Ball and we were fortunate to have Aloft provide us with their musical styling for the 3rd year in a row right after the young and talented Gabrielle Trainor sang a goose-bump-inducing ‘A Cappella’ version of the “National Anthem.”  The annual Board of Director’s meeting started off the night and Fire Chief Bob Roper was presented with a Red Cross gift of thanks for his time as the Board Chair.  The evening’s MCs, Steve Caplan and Doug Graham, did masterful jobs and kept everyone engaged; also, what a lot of fantastic Raffle Prizes we had to pass along to our Red Cross Volunteers with Rachele Ford at the microphone describing the giveaways.  Ah, the 2010 Awards Ceremony is now a fond memory, and we hope to see you at next year’s event!
