A Quilt of Caring
This year, the American Red Cross of Ventura County embarks on a novel way to acknowledge those residents in our county who have given of themselves to our chapter and thus to our community by raising funds through a unique project.
The Quilt of Caring is a large, multi-colored quilt, created by a volunteer and her 85 year old mother and contains squares that can feature the names of people who would like to contribute to the Quilt of Caring or perhaps honor or recognize a family member who in their past has benefited from or supported the Red Cross.
The squares are being offered for $100 for the perimeter squares, $250 and $500 for the interior squares and $1,000 for nine red squares (that are SOLD OUT). This splendid symbol of service and support is prominently displayed in the lobby of the new headquarters and will feature an extensive description of its history by its side.
Please consider supporting this project by purchasing a square. For more information, please contact Rachel Kaloian at (805) 987-1514 or email her at kaloianr@usa.redcross.org.
Thank you in advance for your support.
